“White” Trillium?

The so-called “White Trillium” turns pink when it matures and begins to die.  I found a wonderful field of white flowers in Northwest Lower Michigan and shot many “perfect” specimens that day, but it was the color of this mature blossom that caught my eye.  In my opinion, this should be Michigan’s state flower, but Ohio apparently beat us to it.
